Emergency Management
The mandate of Halton Region's Emergency Management Program is to enhance the
safety of our residents and reduce property damage and economic loss in the
event of an emergency. Our program is designed to ensure that Halton is a
disaster resilient community that is ready to deal with any potential, imminent
or actual emergency situation
Emergency Medical Services
(Ambulance)
Halton Region Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is a division of the
Halton Region Health Department. On August 16th, 2000 Halton Region
assumed direct responsibility for the delivery of the Emergency Medical
Services in Halton.
Halton Regional Police Services 
The Halton Regional Police Service is based on a community policing
philosophy, which combines police resources and expertise with community
partnerships and knowledge. The Halton Regional Police Services Board is
responsible for the provision of adequate and effective police services.
Spill Response Team
In order to deal more effectively with spill occurrences within the
Region, Halton and the Region's Area Municipalities have formalized
arrangements for a coordinated response effort. Effective July 1, 1986,
Halton and Area Municipalities established Halton's Emergency Spill
Response Team.
